Brooke grew up exploring the Gulf Islands and the surrounding areas of Nanaimo before relocating to Victoria in 2015 to pursue her education. She completed the Bachelor of Sport and Fitness Leadership (BSFL) program at Camosun College, graduating as a kinesiologist in 2020.

Today, Brooke is the owner of Fernwood Movement Academy. She believes that exercise extends beyond physical fitness—it is a powerful tool for education, rehabilitation, and building confidence. Her approach emphasizes strong foundational movement, while creating a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in their care. Brooke’s goal is for every client to leave each session feeling better than when they arrived, achieved through thorough assessment, personalized programming, and a balance of effort and enjoyment.

Brooke works with a diverse range of clients, including recreational athletes, individuals managing autoimmune conditions, and those experiencing complex or persistent pain. She is committed to creating an inclusive space where each person is supported in working toward their individual goals in health, wellness, and long-term vitality.

Her sessions are 50–60 minutes in length and typically integrate both hands-on treatment and strength and conditioning. Brooke incorporates principles of Developmental Kinesiology alongside kettlebell training to help clients build resilience, improve movement quality, and achieve lasting results. Clients can expect engaging, purposeful sessions where movement is both the medium for change and the foundation for education.

Isabel believes that movement is one of the most powerful tools for maintaining independence, reducing pain, and improving quality of life. With a lifelong background in dance and a deep understanding of human movement, she is passionate about helping people regain confidence in their bodies—especially those living with chronic pain, mobility limitations, or joint conditions such as hip and knee osteoarthritis.

Her approach is rooted in the understanding that pain does not have to define what is possible. Isabel works closely with each client to understand their unique challenges, goals, and concerns, creating individualized movement programs designed to improve strength, mobility, balance, and function. She particularly enjoys helping clients who want to stay active, maintain their independence, and explore conservative, evidence-informed strategies that may help them postpone or better prepare for joint replacement surgery.

As a Registered Kinesiologist with BCAK, Isabel holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology and has a strong foundation in exercise physiology, biomechanics, pain science, and injury prevention. She combines clinical knowledge with a compassionate, client-centred approach, empowering individuals to move with greater confidence and less fear. Her coaching style is supportive, encouraging, and adaptable, ensuring clients feel heard, understood, and successful at every stage of their journey.

Whether you’re managing chronic hip pain, recovering from injury, navigating arthritis, or simply looking to move more comfortably, Isabel provides a welcoming environment where progress is measured not only by physical improvements, but by greater freedom, confidence, and enjoyment in everyday life.
